They have 'no natural affection', yet that's what they accuse the world of. Unbelievable.
So glad at least some of your kids are with you though. I hope your wife will see sense in time.

...i told them in a very serious sitdown in their living room....said..."because if you cant show it then it does not count...that is not real love no matter who tells you it is....because it is how it makes me feel that determines if it is love....not if you just say it...and me and my sons do not feel that love at all now"....and i stayed calm and talked slowly and barely shed a tear as i held them back...and i had asked them to not say a word but just listen...dad said they would as long as it was not about religion as i knew he would.
this was two of the worst days of my life in a row..i told them the pain me and my boys feel from their shunning is worse than if they had died...that then i could grieve naturally and move on because that is normal....grief helps you cope...my grief is different because they choose to act like i am dead and normal grief does not seem to work on that.
i shared an epiphany with them i had about mens rules vs gods great idea of dna (but no i am not sure about a god anymore)it went kinda like this:.

my first two exams were this week.
things didn't go well.
the classes are tough -- math and science.
((((Billy))) have a big sisterly hug from MM.
I know how you feel, I have days when I feel out of my depth, they usually coincinde with some bull shit being studied in a Watchtower or my family hassling me to do more.
I am so very sorry to hear that. What a mix of emotions you must be experiencing.
dear friends:.
for years now after my exit from the wtbts i have searched for god.
as i have previously mentioned in other threads i looked into many other religions, including druidry, zen and tibetan buddhism (not really a religion), asatru, native american shamanism, kemetic orthodoxy, gnosticism and pandeism.
I don't know either. I'm quite happy with it.
after all the hoopla over the "mentally diseased" stuff, i'm making a prediction.
i expect that the borg will stop distributing the koolaid wt online, at least to where anyone can download it.
i expect that they will require the jws to create logins and passwords to access the study edition, somehow tying that that back to what congregataion you're in and maybe even an elder approving that you attend.

It's not happened here yet though.
facebook friend???.
i will await with anxious anticipation, the sheer volume of pm's!
anyway i'm off to eat chocolate icecream and watch a film.... peace.
Well who are you then? PM me if you like.
even though i was raised a witness, i was never convinced that the end would be in 1975 or even in my lifetime..
Yes, up until the generation change of '95. Thinking back that is when it changed for me.
any country that would obliterate freedom of religion, and even freedom of opinion, because of the witness article deserves no respect.
the way to counter opinions is in the court of public opinion.
caring what the witnesses say about you is to embrace them fully and perhaps be more enslaved to them than when you were in.
I say let the Witnesses hang themselves with their outrageous remarks.
The problem is, no one reads the Watchtower except apostates and some JWs. That's why we need the media to report it.
from my observations, i think many (especially older) jw's hold through the stupid doctrinal changes because they can't admit the alternative.. i had wished the jw kingdom hope was true, i needed it to be true.
i'm 5th generation and my parents, grandparents, great grand.....ect needed it to be true.
i have watched many "faithful" relatives hang on and die disappointed.
There was an excellent post by Besty about this: sunk costs.
just posted by vampire665 on facebook.
